Honey Baked Ham Recipe


This is a great alternative to turkey for your Christmas dinner.  The Honey Baked Ham company ham inspires this recipe.


Ingredients:

1/2 (7 lb.)  Spiral Cut Smoked Ham (fully cooked)

1/2 Cup Orange Juice

1/2 Cup Pear Juice

1/2 Cup Honey

1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed


Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.


Directions:

Place the ham, with the cut end down, in a large baking pan.


In a bowl, mix the orange juice and pear nectar.


Bake ham in the oven for 15 minutes, basting frequently with the juice mixture.


In a small bowl, mix the honey and brown sugar and brush the mixture over the ham and bake for an hour.  (It’s done when the internal temperature reads 140 degrees F.


To caramelize the glaze on the crust, you’ll need a butane torch, place the ham in a huge metal drum, lined with foil to caramelize.
