Cornbread Dressing Recipe


This is a traditional cornbread-dressing recipe.  Very easy to follow, and very good.


Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Bell Pepper

1/2 Cup Onion, chopped

1/2 tsp. Celery

2 Tbsp. Butter

6 Cups Cornbread, crumbled

4 Cups White Bread, crumbled

1 tsp. Poultry Seasoning

1 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Sage

1/2 tsp. Pepper

1/2 tsp. Thyme

2 to 2 1/2 cups Chicken or Turkey Broth


Directions:

Sauté the bell pepper, onion, and celery in butter while setting up the rest of the ingredients.  Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, pouring on the broth and add cooked meat pieces that have been boiled.


Either, stuff the mixture into the turkey or place it in a greased roster pan, to bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
